Zachary Bahorik Named to Cincinnati Business Courier’s Forty Under 40 List

September 23, 2022Zachary D. Bahorik, Partner and Co-Group Leader of the firm’s Venture Law Practice Group, has been named to the 2022 list of Forty Under 40 by the Cincinnati Business Courier. This special feature recognizes extraordinary young leaders and professionals from across Greater Cincinnati.

Bahorik is an accomplished corporate and startup business attorney. He focuses his practice on the needs of venture-backed and growth stage companies as well as established businesses in a wide array of legal areas. His specific experience includes capital raises, fund management, business formation, operations, intellectual property and asset protection, financing, and transactions. He advises business owners and executives on planning for the long-term growth and eventual succession or acquisition of their businesses.

In addition to providing strategic counsel to his clients, Bahorik is highly involved in the entrepreneurial ecosystem in Greater Cincinnati. He represents founders and companies at all stages, from initial concept to exit. He also played an integral role in the growth of a local high-tech startup accelerator, by serving as the Fund Manager of the accelerator’s dedicated investment fund, for more than six years. Through this work, Bahorik supported more than 50 startup companies that went through the accelerator and helped them grow their businesses.

Outside of his practice, Bahorik is a leader in the legal profession and the community through his extensive involvement in programs that work to improve the practice of law and better the world, such as the Volunteer Lawyers Project, the Supreme Court of Ohio’s Lawyer-to-Lawyer Mentoring Program, the University of Cincinnati College of Law’s Entrepreneurship and Community Development Clinic.

For several years, Bahorik was actively involved in the local chapter of Girls on the Run, a life-changing program for adolescent girls that promotes female empowerment by teaching life skills through lessons and running. He served in several leadership roles with the organization between 2013 and 2018, including as Board of Directors Chairman, and continues to support the group in its mission of creating a world where every girl knows and activates her limitless potential.
