Ulmer & Berne LLP announces that Cleveland-based partner Bill J. Gagliano has been elected to the Gordon Square Arts District’s Board of Directors.
Gagliano is a member of Ulmer’s Management Committee and was the long-time chair of the firm’s real estate group. He is a member of the American College of Real Estate Lawyers and has been recognized for over 15 years by Chambers USA and The Best Lawyers in America® for his real estate expertise. “I’m really looking forward to the opportunity to contribute to this thriving arts community and exciting neighborhood of Cleveland,” said Gagliano.
The Gordon Square Arts District was formed in 2007 by Cleveland Public Theatre (CPT), Near West Theatre (NWT), and the Detroit Shoreway Community Development Organization (DSDCO), owner of the Capitol Theatre. The newly formed partnership raised $30 million to build a new community theatre, renovate a historic theatre into an independent movie theatre, renovate multiple spaces at an anchor theatre organization, build parking capacity, and enhance Detroit Avenue with a new streetscape. The Gordon Square Arts District now looks to the future with a new Master Plan that seeks to further grow the area’s economy and contribute to Cleveland’s renaissance.
