Ulmer Partner Jennifer Lawry Adams Appointed to Shaker Schools Foundation Board of Trustees

Ulmer & Berne LLP is pleased to share that Jennifer Lawry Adams, Partner and Group Leader of the firm’s Health Care Practice Group, has been appointed to the Board of Trustees of the Shaker Schools Foundation, a nonprofit that supports Shaker Heights City Schools by enriching educational opportunities for the district’s students. Adams is a graduate of Shaker Heights schools.

Adams focuses her practice on a range of interconnected legal disciplines, including health care, mergers and acquisitions, and a variety of corporate law matters. Putting her focus squarely on her clients, Adams uses her experience and ability to understand her clients’ strategic goals to find creative and impactful solutions to their legal problems. Clients in the health care, automotive, and other industries trust Adams because of her dedication to client service and expertise in niche areas of the law.

In addition to her practice, Adams serves as Co-Chair of Ulmer’s Women in Law and Leadership initiative (UB WILL), the driving force behind the firm’s efforts to attract, retain, and advance women lawyers. She is also a member of the board of Family Connections of Northeast Ohio, a nonprofit that engages families with young children to nurture social connections, enhance child development, and improve school readiness. She volunteers with the Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association’s 3Rs: Rights, Responsibilities, and Realities Program, which connects lawyers, law students, and paralegals with high school students in Cleveland and East Cleveland schools.

Established in 1981, the Shaker Schools Foundation has raised more than $3 million to support the public schools of Shaker Heights, Ohio. Through the robust support of individual donors, community partners, and grants from local and national foundations, the group works to make a difference in the lives of all Shaker students at every grade level throughout the district.
