Ulmer & Berne LLP is proud to announce that Partner James N. Kline has been elected President of the Ohio Association of Civil Trial Attorneys (OACTA). Kline, who previously served as Vice President of OACTA, was inducted into this new leadership role at the organization’s annual meeting in November.
Kline brings over 30 years of experience to litigating negligence, product liability, toxic tort, employer intentional tort, commercial, and construction related claims in federal and state courts. His liability defense concentration includes personal injury, property damage, construction defects, product liability, and general litigation. His clients include insurers, manufacturers, suppliers, contractors, retailers, restaurants, premises owners, non-profits, and municipalities.
In recognition of his legal prowess, his peers have awarded Kline the highest ranking, AV Preeminent, from Martindale Hubbell, and he has been named to the Ohio Super Lawyers list every year since 2012. In 2013, he received OACTA’s Frank Seth Hurd Member of the Year Award. He received his undergraduate degree with honors from the University of Michigan, and his law degree with honors from The Ohio State University.
