June 15, 2021 – Ulmer & Berne LLP is pleased to share that Partner Daniela Paez has joined the Cleveland Board of Facing History and Ourselves, a global educational organization that uses lessons of history to challenge teachers and their students to stand up to bigotry and hate. In this new role, Paez will assist the group in its mission to help students connect choices made by others in the past to those they will confront in their own lives.
In her legal practice, Paez focuses on fiduciary disputes, including trust, estate, and probate disputes, and on complex commercial, banking, shareholder, and broker-dealer litigation. She represents a diverse set of clients ranging from individuals, LLCs, and closely held corporations to large, multinational companies and financial institutions, in state and federal courts, mediation, arbitration, and international disputes. She is also involved in the firm’s leading immigration practice. With experience in all phases of trial and appellate practice, she has played an important role in several precedent-setting matters.
Active in the community, Paez serves on the Board of Directors for Stella Maris, Inc., a nonprofit long-term care facility that provides addiction recovery and mental health services, and has volunteered as a classroom instructor for the Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association’s Rights, Responsibilities, and Realities (3Rs) Program. Recognized for her talent, Paez has been named to the National LGBT Bar Association’s 2021 Class of Best LGBTQ+ Lawyers Under 40 and to the Best Lawyers® Ones to Watch list for Commercial Litigation, among other honors.
