Ulmer & Berne LLP is pleased to announce that Partner Bill J. Gagliano has been appointed to the Board of Directors for SPACES, a nonprofit artist-driven gallery and art incubator in Cleveland’s Ohio City neighborhood.
SPACES is a resource and public forum for artists who explore and experiment, commissioning artists from around the world to make new work that is responsive to timely issues. SPACES uses these projects as a jumping off point to create educational initiatives that help develop a more informed citizenry, and distributes grants to artists outside of its residency and exhibition programs.
Gagliano is a real estate attorney whose experience includes real estate development, affordable housing, leasing, distressed real estate matters, construction law, and property taxation and abatement. He represented SPACES during the 2016 acquisition of its new facility and helped the organization navigate property taxation matters. He is a member of the American College of Real Estate Lawyers and has been consistently recognized by Chambers USA and The Best Lawyers in America© for his real estate expertise. Gagliano is engaged in the nonprofit arts community, currently serving on the Board of Directors for the Gordon Square Arts District.
