Scott P. Kadish, Cincinnati-based partner and Chair of Ulmer & Berne’s Leasing and Retail Practice Groups, has been named to the Midwest Real Estate News Commercial Real Estate Hall of Fame for 2015.
Each year, Midwest Real Estate News highlights a select group of real estate professionals who go well above and beyond the call of duty for their clients. Out of a pool of 500 nominees, fewer than 100 were selected for inclusion. Excellent communication, strategic vision, and a consistent dedication to meeting client goals and providing excellent service are some of the major factors the publication takes into account when determining whether a nominee will be included in the Hall of Fame.
Mr. Kadish has decades of experience representing landlords and tenants in the development and lease-up of shopping centers across the country. He also counsels clients on a wide variety of real estate and business transactions, as well as general business law issues. Mr. Kadish’s clients include some of the most dynamic companies in the real estate industry. For example, he has represented Steiner + Associates, Inc. since 1998, successfully managing all of the retail leases for Steiner’s many open-air shopping center developments. These developments include major sites such as Easton Town Center (Columbus, Ohio), Zona Rosa (Kansas City, Missouri), Newport on the Levee (Newport, Kentucky), Bayshore Town Center (Milwaukee, Wisconsin), and the Greene (Beavercreek, Ohio). Most recently, Mr. Kadish represented Steiner in the lease-up of Liberty Center, a 64-acre development that includes 1.3 million square feet of retail, dining, entertainment, and residential space, as well as a 90,000-square-foot cinema and 130-key hotel.
In 2013 and 2015, Mr. Kadish was named one of Ohio’s leading Real Estate lawyers by Chambers USA: America’s Leading Lawyers for Business. He has also been included in The Best Lawyers in America®, Real Estate Law (2007-2016), named a Cincy Leading Lawyer in Real Estate in a survey of lawyers by Cincy Magazine (2007-2015), and recognized on the Ohio Super Lawyers list (2004-2009, 2011-2016). Mr. Kadish earned his B.S. from Boston University, cum laude, and his J.D. from American University, Washington College of Law.
