May 20, 2021 – For the 19th consecutive year, Chambers USA recognizes Ulmer & Berne LLP as a leading law firm in “Chambers USA: America’s Leading Lawyers for Business.”
In the 2021 edition, Chambers ranked four of the firm’s practices and 17 of its attorneys as among the top in Ohio, New York, and across the country, based on a detailed assessment of the firm’s work and opinions from clients and external market sources. Ulmer’s Immigration, Intellectual Property, Litigation: General Commercial, and Real Estate practices each received recognition for their sustained excellence in these sectors.
Of the Ulmer attorneys honored, four also earned positions in Band 1, the highest possible recognition given by Chambers. This distinguished group includes Immigration Group Leader and Partner David W. Leopold for Immigration in Ohio and Counsel Anastasia Tonello for Immigration in New York, Partner Frederick N. Widen for Tax in Ohio, and Michael N. Ungar, Partner and Chair of Ulmer’s Litigation Department for General Commercial Litigation in Ohio, an honor Ungar has received for an exceptional nine years in a row. Further, Leopold and Tonello earned individual nationwide rankings for their innovative immigration work.
Chambers’ ratings are significant because the evaluation of client feedback is a key component of the research process. Among the firm’s detailed client responses, clients reported to Chambers that Ulmer’s team is “responsive and collaborative,” provides “excellent service and good advice for a reasonable rate,” and that Ulmer “as a whole is an outstanding law firm that exudes professionalism.”
“Our commitment to providing first-class client service and exceeding our clients’ expectations is at the heart of what we do,” said Scott P. Kadish, Managing Partner. “This recognition is very meaningful to us, particularly since client feedback is such an important part of Chambers’ research. We are grateful to our clients for their unwavering support and to our attorneys who are equally dedicated to helping our clients succeed.”
