October 6, 2021 – Ulmer & Berne LLP is pleased to share that Counsel Manju Gupta has been appointed to the Board of Directors of the Cleveland State University (CSU) Alumni Association.
Gupta, who earned her MBA from CSU’s James J. Nance College of Business Administration and her law degree from the Cleveland-Marshall College of Law, began her two-year term at the end of September. In her new role on the Board of Directors, she will support the Association’s mission of advancing CSU students, graduates, the university, and the region through programming, volunteerism, networking, outreach, and advocacy.
In her legal practice, Gupta focuses on complex business litigation with a particular focus on federal contracting counseling and dispute resolution. She represents businesses in connection with their governmental procurement and contracting activities, including bid preparation, responses to requests for proposals for government projects and contracts, bid disputes and protests, and contract negotiations. She also has extensive experience representing debtors and creditors in Chapter 11 bankruptcies and out of court workout matters.
Gupta is a member of the Board of Directors of DANCE Cleveland, Northeast Ohio’s premier dance organization, and serves in the role of Vice President and Chair of its Trustee Committee. In recognition of her legal accomplishments, she has been named to The Best Lawyers in America© for Bankruptcy and Creditor-Debtor Rights Law/Insolvency and Reorganization Law for the last four years and has been named to the Ohio Super Lawyers list every year since 2014.
