Booker Coleman Appointed to Chicago Bar Association’s Judicial Evaluation Committee

Ulmer & Berne LLP is pleased to announce that Booker T. Coleman, Jr. has been appointed to serve on the Investigative Division of the Chicago Bar Association’s (CBA) Judicial Evaluation Committee (JEC).

The JEC provides an invaluable service to the bench, the bar, and the public through its evaluations of candidates for judicial offices and sitting judges seeking retention within Cook County, Illinois. The evaluations are designed to inform the public and the courts of the qualifications, independence, and integrity of judicial candidates. As a service to the public, the CBA reports the findings of the JEC for all elections.

Coleman is an advisor and litigator in the firm’s Litigation Department. His practice primarily is focused on business and financial services litigation. He is a problem-solver who assists clients large and small in obtaining effective, real-world solutions to a range of disputes.

He has extensive experience practicing in state and federal court, and in administrative and regulatory proceedings, and represents clients across a range of industry sectors, including, financial services, manufacturing, technology, real estate, and food services. Coleman has been recognized as an Illinois Super Lawyers Rising Star and “Emerging Lawyer” in a survey of lawyers by the Law Bulletin Publishing Company.
