Ulmer & Berne LLP is pleased to announce that Associate Shipra K. Rege will join the Board of Directors of Greater Cleveland Volunteers for a three-year term effective January 1, 2019. Greater Cleveland Volunteers is a nonprofit that connects individuals with a broad range of volunteer opportunities at nonprofit organizations throughout Cuyahoga County, Ohio.
Rege is a litigator in the firm’s Financial Services & Securities Litigation and Business Litigation Practice Groups. In her securities litigation practice, she represents broker-dealers, financial advisors, and individuals in a wide range of securities industry-related matters, including intra-industry business disputes and customer arbitration claims involving allegations of suitability issues, unauthorized trading, and other sales practice violations. Rege also advises and defends clients in investigations brought by regulators.
She also represents a variety of corporations and entities in business disputes, advising clients on a diverse range of matters, including contract and real estate disputes, enforcement of non-compete and confidentiality agreements, and business tort claims. Rege is actively involved in several bar associations, including serving as an officer of the South Asian Bar Association of Ohio and on the Mentoring Committee of the Ohio Women’s Bar Association.
