Ulmer & Berne LLP is pleased to announce the addition of Counsel John R. Harrison to the firm’s Cleveland office where he joins the Trusts & Estates Practice Group and brings with him over 25 years of experience handling all aspects of trust and estate planning and administration.

Throughout his career, Harrison has worked to protect the rights and assets of seniors and people with special needs. He guides individuals and families with elder and special needs challenges through estate planning, Medicare, Medicaid, guardianship, probate, and other matters, including contested trust, estate, and fiduciary litigation. Notably, he served as lead counsel in the Ohio Supreme Court case that guaranteed the rights of wards under guardianship.
In addition to his practice, Harrison is actively involved with the Ohio State Bar Association, participating in the Estate Planning, Trust, and Probate Law Section and serving on the Special Needs Law Committee. He also serves on the boards of the Milestones Autism Organization and the Northeast Ohio Medical University (NEOMED) Foundation. Recognized for his talent and skill, he has been named to The Best Lawyers in America© for Trusts and Estates Law.
