Ulmer Adds Bench Strength to IP and Immigration Practices

January 12, 2023 – Ulmer & Berne LLP is pleased to announce the addition of two attorneys to the firm. Ashley J. Earle joins the Intellectual Property & Technology Practice Group, and Tu-Anh (Amanda) Vo joins the Immigration Practice Group.

Earle joins Ulmer’s Cincinnati office as an Associate. She focuses her practice on trademarks, data security and privacy, and technology transactions for businesses of all sizes, from startups and entrepreneurs to mid-size and Fortune 500 companies. She manages and provides strategic counseling involving large and small trademark portfolios, as well as adversarial proceedings before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board (TTAB), helping clients create and enforce brands and their related intellectual property on a global scale. She also advises clients on data security and privacy compliance matters, and regularly negotiates IP and IT contracts on behalf of clients.

In recognition of her legal skill, Earle has been named to the Ohio Super Lawyers list of Rising Stars, The Best Lawyers in America: Ones to Watch, Intellectual Property Law, and named a Cincy Leading Lawyer in Intellectual Property by Cincy Magazine. Earle is a Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP/US) by the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP) and she is registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO). She earned her undergraduate degree with honors from Kentucky Wesleyan College and her J.D. with honors from University of Cincinnati College of Law.

Vo joins Ulmer’s Cleveland office as a Staff Attorney. She focuses her practice on employment-based immigration, including H-1B, O-1, E-1/2 visas, obtaining permanent residence for foreign nationals of extraordinary ability, outstanding researchers and professors, and intracompany transfers. Vo also handles family-based immigration, representation of clients at U.S. consulates overseas, and naturalization matters. An experienced litigator, Vo represents clients at all stages of removal defense before federal immigration courts and the Board of Immigration Appeals.

Vo is active in several professional associations, including the Ohio State Bar Association, the Federal Bar Association, and the American Immigration Lawyers Association. She currently volunteers with the Greater Cleveland/Akron Food Bank and Habitat for Humanity. Vo earned her undergraduate degree with honors from High Point University and her J.D. from University of Akron School of Law.  She is admitted to practice in Ohio.
