Ulmer Adds Attorneys to Offices in Cleveland, Cincinnati, and New York

August 31, 2023 – Ulmer & Berne LLP is pleased to announce the addition of three attorneys to the firm. Nathan Jacob joins the Employment & Labor Practice Group in Cleveland, Alexander L. Diamond joins the Business Law Practice Group in Cincinnati, and Abe Sutton joins the Health Care Practice Group in New York.

Jacob joins the firm as an Associate. In his practice as an employment and labor attorney, he has broad experience defending employers in discrimination, harassment, restrictive covenant, retaliation, and wage and hour litigation. Through an approach fine-tuned by his litigation experiences, Jacob proactively counsels employers to mitigate liability and, where possible, avoid complex litigation altogether. He earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Texas at Dallas, his MBA from Oklahoma City University, and his J.D. from Oklahoma City University School of Law.

Diamond joins the firm as Counsel. In his practice, he represents a wide range of public and privately held companies varying from small businesses to Fortune 500 clients on business and corporate law matters. He focuses on business law, general corporate work, and commercial transactions with a specialization in mergers and acquisitions. Diamond also operates as an outside general counsel and advisor to many clients on their day-to-day business operations and issues. He earned his undergraduate degree from Dalhousie University and his J.D. from University of Cincinnati College of Law.

Sutton joins the firm as Counsel. In his practice, he focuses on a variety of corporate law matters, including joint ventures, mergers and acquisitions, equity and debt financing transactions, alternative investments, real estate transactions, and other general transactional matters. He provides strategic counsel to corporate clients in the health care industry, including skilled nursing and assisted living facility owners and operators. Sutton earned his undergraduate degree from Yeshiva University, Sy Syms School of Business, and his J.D. with honors from Fordham University School of Law.
