January 14, 2020 – Ulmer & Berne LLP is pleased to share that Associate Trevor J. Hardy has joined the Board of Directors of the Cleveland Rape Crisis Center (CRCC). In this role, Hardy will assist the organization in its mission of supporting victims of rape and sexual abuse, and will use his background in employment law to help CRCC draft policies that address employer treatment and protection of individuals who are the victims of sexual assault and other forms of sexual violence.
Hardy represents clients in complex business and employment disputes, and litigates matters in state and federal courts across the country. He assists a diverse range of clients, including Fortune 500 companies, educational institutions, family-owned businesses, and individuals, as well as broker-dealers in employment-related FINRA arbitrations.
Actively engaged in the community, Hardy serves on the boards of Canine Companions for Independence and the Little Italy Redevelopment Corporation, and also serves as Congressional District Leader for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Virginia, and his law degree with honors from Case Western Reserve University School of Law.
Founded in 1974, CRCC is a nonprofit that provides support to survivors of rape and sexual abuse, promotes healing and prevention, and advocates for social change. In its mission, CRCC provides counseling services, victim assistance in the justice system, and 24-hour services to survivors of sexual violence in Cuyahoga, Geauga, Lake, and Ashtabula counties.
