Ulmer & Berne LLP is pleased to announce that attorney Shawn J. Gebhardt has been elected to the Board of Directors for the Chicagoland Food Science Foundation (CFSF), a nonprofit organization that works to raise funds for and award scholarships to students intending to work in the food industry.
CFSF’s mission is to develop, promote and support the current and next generation of food and beverage industry professionals. CFSF works with the Chicago Section of the Institute of Food Technologists (CSIFT) to provide food science students with essential scholarships, ultimately supporting the food and beverage industry’s ever-growing needs.
Gebhardt is a seasoned business litigator and regulatory adviser to food and beverage companies and other consumer packaged goods manufacturers. He represents clients in state and federal courts across the country, in regulatory proceedings, in private arbitrations, and in business negotiations. He is also actively involved with the Institute of Food Technologists where he serves on the Chicago Section’s Professional Development Committee. Gebhardt earned undergraduate and graduate degrees in economics from the University of Missouri, Kansas City, and his law degree from the University of California, Berkeley School of Law (formerly Boalt Hall).
