March 7, 2022 – Ulmer & Berne LLP is pleased to announce the addition of Ilirjan (Ilir) Pipa as a Partner in the firm’s Business Law Practice Group. Pipa joins Ulmer’s Cleveland office where he will continue his practice focusing on securities regulatory matters, mergers and acquisitions, and general corporate transactions.
Pipa formerly led the securities practice at a midsize law firm based in the Midwest and has extensive experience counseling companies on a wide range of securities matters, such as securities offerings, disclosures, filings, and related compliance obligations. He also has a broad background in mergers and acquisitions and assists buyers and sellers operating in a spectrum of industries with the drafting and negotiation of M&A transactions, SEC filings, and offering documents.
Pipa represents businesses of all stages in private and public offerings and venture capital projects. He works with special purpose acquisition companies (SPACs) in raising capital to finance future acquisitions, and advises clients in their dealings with federal and state securities regulators and exchanges to ensure compliance with applicable rules.

Pipa is a member of several professional organizations including the Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association, Ohio State Bar Association, and the Association for Corporate Growth. He previously served on the Board of Directors of the Albanian-American Association and is fluent in Albanian. He earned his undergraduate degree with honors from Baldwin Wallace College, and earned his MBA and J.D. from the Weatherhead School of Management and School of Law at Case Western Reserve University.
