November 22, 2022 – Ulmer is pleased to announce that Associate Sachin V. Java has been named to the 2022 list of Forty Under 40 by Crain’s Cleveland Business. This special feature recognizes extraordinary young leaders and professionals from across Greater Cleveland.

Java focuses his practice on corporate law matters including mergers and acquisitions, banking and commercial finance, and general business counseling. He assists clients of all sizes in structuring and negotiating joint ventures, acquisitions, and divestures, as well as advising on corporate formation, governance, compliance, and commercial contracts. In addition, he represents borrowers on acquisition financing, refinancing, and asset based, cash flow, agented, and syndicated loan transactions. With his extensive health care operational background, Sachin regularly works with clients in that industry, including long-term care providers, behavioral health facilities, and other health care entities.
Prior to joining the legal profession, Java served in several clinical research and health care administration roles at the Cleveland Clinic and as an engineer for DePuy Orthopaedics, a Johnson & Johnson Company. Recognized for his professional achievements, Java has been selected as an ABA Business Law Fellow, and named to the Ohio Super Lawyers Rising Stars and The Best Lawyers in America: Ones to Watch lists.
Outside of his practice, Java is President-Elect of the Asian American Bar Association of Ohio, and a member of the Business Law Fellows Committee for the American Bar Association, the Ethics and Professionalism Committee for the Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association, and the Board of Directors for the Cleveland Animal Protective League, as well as serving as an Alumni Mentor for the Cleveland State University Cleveland-Marshall Law Alumni Association Mentor Program.
