In 2007, the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) issued a report noting a decline in the number of American adults reading literature and reading for pleasure. This was a real wake-up call for the Cuyahoga County Public Library (CCPL).
Publishers Weekly library columnist and Executive Director of the CCPL, Sari Feldman, explained how the CCPL launched the Reconnect with Reading (RWR) campaign and how their efforts over the last decade have paid off.
