July 28, 2020 – Ulmer & Berne LLP is pleased to share that Cleveland Partner-in-Charge Patricia A. Shlonsky has been appointed to the Board of Directors of Planned Parenthood Advocates of Ohio (PPAO). PPAO is committed to protecting access to reproductive health care and rights for all Ohioans through advocacy, education, lobbying, and electoral activity.
“During the 20 years we’ve worked together, I’ve watched Patty selflessly share her passion and talent with important organizations both within the city of Cleveland and beyond, time and time again,” said Scott P. Kadish, Managing Partner. “Patty is a tremendous asset to any organization she is a part of, and I know her contributions to Planned Parenthood Advocates of Ohio will truly make a difference.”
Shlonsky guides the development, client service, business, and operations efforts of the firm’s Cleveland office while managing her robust practice as a nationally recognized employee benefits attorney. Shlonsky also serves as Group Leader of Ulmer’s Employee Benefits and Tax Practice Groups. She advises clients on a wide range of employee benefits matters and has comprehensive experience handling all types of employee benefits and ERISA litigation. Consistently recognized for her legal skills, she has been ranked by Chambers USA as one of Ohio’s “Leaders in Their Field” for Employee Benefits and Executive Compensation every year since 2007, among other honors.
Her commitment to the community is seen in her extensive involvement in causes larger than herself, including her service as a Board Member (and Past President of the Board of Trustees) of the Cuyahoga County Public Library, as Vice President of the Board of Directors and Co-Chair of the Program Committee for The City Club of Cleveland, and as Vice Chair of the Board of Directors for The Center for Community Solutions.
