Michael Davis Hoenig Joins Board of Anti-Defamation League Cleveland Regional Office

Ulmer & Berne LLP is pleased to share that Associate Michael Davis Hoenig has joined the Board of the Anti-Defamation League (ADL) Cleveland regional office, which serves Ohio, Kentucky, West Virginia, and Western Pennsylvania. The ADL is dedicated to fighting anti-Semitism and threats to our democracy, including cyber hate, bullying, bias in schools and in the criminal justice system, terrorism, hate crimes, coercion of religious minorities, and contempt for anyone who is different.

Hoenig is a litigator in Ulmer’s Cleveland office who focuses his practice on complex business, broker-dealer, and investment litigation matters, including breach of contract, commercial tort, securities, consumer protection, employment and labor, and intellectual property disputes. He also represents broker-dealers in FINRA arbitrations and regulatory proceedings. He received his undergraduate degree with honors from New York University and his law degree from The Ohio State University.

Actively involved in the Greater Cleveland Jewish community, Hoenig is a Co-Founder of MAKOM, a local grassroots group that is dedicated to educating community members and institutions about LGBTQ issues and providing a loving and safe community for LGBTQ Jews and their families, friends, and allies. He also serves as a Co-Chair for the Youth Committee of Green Road Synagogue in Beachwood, Ohio, which develops and strengthens youth programming for the congregation.

Founded in 1913, the ADL is a global organization dedicated to combating hate and confronting discrimination. Locally, the Cleveland regional office is an area leader in human rights advocacy, assisting victims of discrimination, providing anti-bias education, impacting public policy, promoting interfaith and intergroup understanding, training law enforcement on hate crimes and extremist groups, and promoting peace in the Middle East.
