November 10, 2022 – Ulmer & Berne LLP is pleased to share that Mengxue Xie, an Associate in the firm’s Cleveland office, has been elected to the West Creek Conservancy Board of Directors. West Creek protects local natural areas, open spaces, streams, and waterways in Northeast Ohio.
In her role on the board, Xie will be responsible for providing legal, management, financial, and program oversight. This includes ensuring that the organization maintains legal and ethical integrity, managing the strategic functions of the organization, setting and approving a budget, and ensuring that programs are in place to further the organization’s mission and goals.
In her legal practice, Xie focuses on commercial and product liability litigation. She represents a diverse array of clients in multidistrict proceedings, as well as putative class and collective actions involving the Fair Labor Standards Act and state wage and hour statutes. She received her Bachelor of Laws degree from China University of Political Science and Law and her Juris Doctor from Case Western Reserve University School of Law. Outside of her legal practice, Xie is also involved in the Greater Cleveland Chinese Chamber of Commerce, and serves on the Board of the Federal Bar Association’s Younger Lawyers Division.
