February 8, 2023 – Ulmer & Berne LLP is pleased to share that Georgia Hatzis, a Partner in the firm’s Cleveland office, has been elected to the Horizon Education Centers Board of Trustees.
The mission of Horizon Education Centers is to provide high-quality early childhood education, care, and youth development programs. Established in 1978 and licensed by the Ohio Department of Jobs and Family Services, Horizon Education Centers is one of the most prominent sources of infant care, toddler care, preschool, summer camp, and afterschool programming in Lorain and Western Cuyahoga counties. In her role on the Board of Trustees, Hatzis will participate in determining strategic direction and providing oversight for the Cleveland-based nonprofit.
In her legal practice, Hatzis focuses on the defense of pharmaceutical, medical device, mass tort, and product liability litigation. She represents pharmaceutical and medical device companies in a variety of complex litigation matters across the country, as well as major corporations in multidistrict, coordinated, and consolidated proceedings, putative class actions, and “one-off” product liability suits. Georgia has experience in cases involving large-scale product recalls and also engages in complex business litigation. In recognition of her skill, Georgia has been named to the Ohio Super Lawyers Rising Stars and the Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch lists.
