Amanda Martinsek Named to 2019 List of “Women Worth Watching” by Profiles in Diversity Journal

Ulmer & Berne LLP is pleased to share that Partner Amanda Martinsek has been named to Profiles in Diversity Journal’s 2019 list of “Women Worth Watching,” an award that energizes, inspires, and recognizes women who have demonstrated high levels of leadership.

“Amanda is incredibly deserving of recognition for her dedication to clients, community involvement, and passion for lifting up and mentoring female attorneys,” said Patricia A. Martinsek is a business litigator with more than 25 years of experience managing complex cases including class actions, shareholder derivative claims, product liability suits, and other corporate disputes. In addition to her significant trial experience, she represents clients in administrative proceedings, arbitrations, and investigations. Throughout her career, Martinsek has been actively involved in efforts to support female attorneys, including serving as an officer of the Ohio Women’s Bar Association and serving as managing partner and founding president of majority-women owned law firms.

She is an active participant of UB WILL – Women in Law and Leadership, the driving force behind Ulmer’s efforts to attract, retain, and advance women lawyers, and currently serves on The Cleveland Orchestra Advisory Council. Martinsek has been named to the Top 25 Women Super Lawyers in Cleveland and Top 50 Women Super Lawyers in Ohio, and has been designated Best Lawyers® 2019 Appellate Practice “Lawyer of the Year” in Cleveland. She received her undergraduate degree from Oberlin College, and her law degree from New York University School of Law where she was a member of the Order of the Coif.

Profiles in Diversity Journal is a publication dedicated to honoring ambitious people, initiatives, and programs that support the success of diverse workforces across the country and around the world. The winners of the publication’s “Women Worth Watching” award were nominated based on their passion, potential, and positive influence in their workplaces and in their communities. The women who received this honor will be featured in a special edition of Profiles in Diversity Journal that will be published in August.
