June 17, 2020 – Ulmer & Berne LLP is pleased to announce that Partner Rachael Rodman has been named to Profiles in Diversity Journal’s 2020 list of “Women Worth Watching,” an award that energizes, inspires, and recognizes women who have demonstrated high levels of leadership.
“Rachael’s commitment to promoting diversity and inclusion and lifting up the women around her serves as an excellent example to others,” said Ulmer Managing Partner Scott P. Kadish. “We are proud to be partners with Rachael, and to see her dedication and leadership receive recognition in this way.”
Rodman is an accomplished litigator who concentrates her practice in the area of Intellectual Property (IP) litigation, and represents clients in a variety of cases involving patent, trademark, copyright, and trade secret claims. She also has experience in complex business litigation, and has litigated cases involving contract, shareholder, and non-compete disputes. Rodman guides clients to efficient resolutions that keep their businesses moving forward, and also counsels them on how to identify and protect their intellectual property.
In her career, Rodman has taken on several leadership roles with professional organizations to provide support to other IP litigators, promote diversity and inclusion, and advance women in the field of IP law. Presently, she serves as a member of the Defense Research Institute’s IP Litigation Committee and acted as the 2019 Chair of its IP Litigation Seminar. Rodman also is actively engaged with the Intellectual Property Owners Association (IPO) where she serves on the Diversity & Inclusion Committee, as a Vice Chair of the Women in IP Committee, and as Co-Chair of the Push Forward Subcommittee, which publishes white papers on issues impacting women and minorities in the profession. Through these positions, Rodman helps IPO promote diversity and inclusion, increase the diversity of its membership, and build and expand practices that benefit women and minorities in IP. At Ulmer, she is an active member of both the firm’s Diversity & Inclusion committee as well as UB WILL – Women in Law and Leadership, the driving force behind Ulmer’s efforts to attract, retain, and advance women lawyers.
