Ulmer’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Committee is proud to present “Unapologetically Into Action,” a series of educational programming and events for the coming year. This new series will enable us to have a meaningful discussion on potential solutions and actions to stop racism, inequity, and discrimination. The new series follows the conclusion of Ulmer’s successful “Stop The Hate” program.
“Unapologetically Into Action” means that we are intentionally forward thinking and focused on events, programs, and activities that create change in mindset, identify concrete steps, and undertake specific tasks to make a meaningful difference. The program kicked off in spring 2021 with the screening of the Ulmer-sponsored film “Unapologetic.” This film documents two young female activists fighting for transformative justice, responsible policing, and legal reform in Chicago. The second program featured a panel of community leaders speaking on the topic of eliminating police violence against citizens of color.
