Ulmer & Berne LLP is pleased to announce the promotion of Booker T. Coleman, Jr. to Counsel, effective January 1, 2020. Coleman is a business litigator based in the firm’s Chicago office.

Coleman’s practice is primarily focused on business and financial services litigation. He is a problem-solver who assists clients large and small in obtaining effective, real-world solutions to a range of disputes. He has extensive experience practicing in state and federal courts and in administrative and regulatory proceedings, and represents clients in a variety of industry sectors, including financial services, manufacturing, technology, real estate, and food services.
In addition to his practice, Coleman serves on the Chicago Bar Association’s Judicial Evaluation Committee, which provides an invaluable service to the bench, bar, and public through its evaluations of candidates for judicial office in Cook County, Illinois. He has been recognized as an Illinois Super Lawyers Rising Star and an “Emerging Lawyer” in a survey of lawyers by the Law Bulletin Publishing Company. Coleman received his undergraduate degree from the University of Wisconsin at Madison and his law degree from Marquette University Law School.
