Since joining the firm straight out of law school, Chris has represented domestic and foreign businesses in mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, strategic alliances, financings and commercial transactions. He has served as general counsel, secretary and advisor to public and privately owned companies. He chairs the International Practice Group at Ulmer & Berne. Chris has achieved the highest rating, AV Preeminent®, from Martindale-Hubbell® and has been recognized by Best Lawyers in America® in Corporate Law and Mergers & Acquisitions Law.

  • Has advised clients on intellectual property issues arising in commercial transactions.
  • Has served as bond counsel, underwriter’s counsel and corporate counsel in tax-exempt and taxable bond financing transactions.
  • Is Past Chairman (2002 to 2008), member of Executive Committee (1999 to 2010) and current Recruiting Committee member of Lawyers Associated Worldwide (LAW), an international association of nearly 100 independent full-service business law firms located in major commercial centers around the world, representing a global resource of more than 4,000 lawyers.
  • Board Member of Greater Cleveland International Lawyers Group.
