Stephen retired in 2017 and has over 30 years of experience counseling clients on a wide array of corporate, business, commercial, employment, labor, litigation, and succession planning issues. As his clients’ internal advocate, Stephen also monitored the work of specialist attorneys both within Ulmer & Berne and in other firms to ensure quality and to control costs. In addition, Stephen represented both management and union clients in the private and public sectors, handling labor negotiations, grievance arbitrations, and proceedings before the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB), Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), and Ohio Civil Rights Commission (OCRC). Stephen has achieved the highest rating, AV Preeminent®, from Martindale-Hubbell®.
