Kyle S. Baird


Kyle focuses his practice on lending and commercial finance, mergers and acquisitions, and capital markets transactions. He previously served as in-house counsel for an international investment bank, and worked as bond and underwriter counsel for a Global 100/Am Law 100 firm. Kyle’s experience in public infrastructure and finance allows him to structure complex financing transactions for public and private entities in a variety of areas, including governmental, multifamily housing, health care, long-term care, higher education, and other nonprofit facilities.

  • Served as in-house counsel for an international investment bank where he advised internal and external clients regarding various capital markets transactions, including advising Fortune 500 investors regarding the syndication of state and federal low-income housing, historic, and energy tax credits.
  • Developed financing strategies and drafted documents for public and private infrastructure projects across the country and advised clients regarding legal and regulatory matters.
  • Led preparation of agreements, certificates, and other documents on dozens of transactions with local housing authorities, for-profit, and nonprofit developers leveraging FHA-insured loan proceeds and other federal funds with tax-exempt bonds and low-income housing tax credits.
  • Developed the transactional strategy for the real estate financing and infrastructure update for the Pro Football Hall of Fame in Canton, Ohio.
  • Participated in civil litigation in state and federal courts, including serving as national coordinating counsel for a major bank where he oversaw implementation strategy for responding to lender liability claims.
