Susan manages eDiscovery for complex business litigation matters from review to trial presentation. Her prior experience as a litigator gives her a unique perspective when handling eDiscovery matters, allowing her to efficiently and effectively manage clients’ corporate litigation needs. By delving into clients’ information, she can help them tell their stories in the most favorable light, and finds the best evidence to support and defend their positions in motion practice and at trial. Her previous experience in a broad spectrum of litigation matters includes antitrust, FINRA, shareholder, patent, pharmaceutical, securities, trade secret, and sub-prime lending litigation.

Experience

Litigation Support

  • Manages all phases of eDiscovery for complex litigation matters from review to trial presentation.
  • Assists clients with the process of responding to subpoenas and helps collect requested documents and data.
  • Responds to and resolves discovery disputes by addressing arguments, planning for contingencies, and providing quick responses.
  • Assists with depositions by gathering and directing attorneys towards the evidence needed.
  • Implements litigation holds, negotiates parameters, and coordinates defensible ESI collections, searches, and productions.
  • Assists with trial preparation, including preparing witnesses for depositions and trials.

Litigation Experience

  • Successfully defended clients against antitrust violations in the dairy, manufacturing, and media industries.
  • Participated in mediations, as well as jury and bench trials, and served as an arbitrator at the Common Pleas level.
  • Provided legal services for a surety/bonding business that was in the process of winding down its operations.
  • Successfully defended federal RICO claims against a company and its principals.
