He has served as national counsel for a number of pharmaceutical companies in mass tort litigation as well as local counsel for many other mass tort or individual product liability actions. K.C. has been named to the Ohio Super Lawyers list and The Best Lawyers in America® in the areas of Mass Tort Litigation/Class Actions-Defendants and Product Liability Litigation.

  • National counsel for Aventis for more than four hundred claims in various consolidated litigations across the country.
  • National counsel for several P&G entities for nearly a thousand claims in various jurisdictions around the country.
  • National counsel for Rugby Laboratories, Inc. for thousands of claims in various jurisdictions around the country.
  • Regional product liability counsel for Huffy Corporation and its past and present subsidiaries and divisions.
  • National counsel for Aventis for cases involving the synthetic insulin medication, Lantus.
  • Local counsel for Novartis in an Ohio and a Kentucky case claiming the prescription anti-lactation medication, Parlodel, caused strokes.
  • Local counsel for Celltech in several actions alleging injuries from the vaccine preservative, thimerosal.
  • Counsel for Hubble in several personal injury cases alleging injuries from electrical products.
  • Part of a national defense team that successfully defended Merrell Dow in thousands of suits alleging that birth defects were caused by the prescription anti-nausea medication, Bendectin.
  • Defended Owens Illinois, Inc. in a product liability action alleging serious burn injuries from a “Mr. Wizard” chemistry set.
  • Part of defense team that represented former Commissioner of Baseball, Bart Giamatti, in a suit for injunctive relief involving Reds player-manager, Pete Rose.
  • Part of defense team that represented leading silicone medical products manufacturer in multimillion dollar, multiple state and federal litigation, including MDL, involving issues of strict liability, negligence and failure to warn.
