CINCINNATI (August 3, 2009) — Ulmer & Berne LLP announced today that Gary R. Platton, a paralegal in the Firm’s mass tort practice area, has been appointed to Vice President of Outreach for the International Paralegal Management Association (IPMA) by its Board of Directors.  Gary has been a member of the IPMA since 2004 and also currently serves as Chapter Chair for the Southern Ohio Chapter of the Association which he established in 2007.

The International Paralegal Management Association promotes the development, professional standing and visibility of paralegal management professionals.

As the Mass Tort Manager in Ulmer & Berne’s Cincinnati office, Gary is responsible for managing the product liability paralegals, directing paralegal work assignments, and performing high-level paralegal assignments when requested, such as preparing for and assisting at trials.  Gary graduated from the College of Mount St. Joseph with a B.A. in Paralegal Studies and currently serves on the paralegal advisory board for that institution.
