CHICAGO (July 7, 2010) — Ulmer & Berne LLP announced today that Peter R. Sonderby, counsel in the Midwest firm’s Chicago office, has been elected to serve as secretary-treasurer of the Lawyers’ Club of Chicago. After being appointed to the club’s board of directors in 2009, Sonderby assumed his new position at the organization’s annual meeting on June 23.

Founded in 1883, the Lawyers' Club of Chicago promotes social interaction and tolerant discussion among lawyers and judges in Chicago. With approximately 900 members consisting of lawyers and judges primarily from the Chicago metropolitan area, the club offers an opportunity for members of the legal profession to meet informally to exchange views and to hear interesting and distinguished speakers on a wide variety of important topics.
