Community

Ulmer & Berne is committed to local, national and worldwide communities through nonprofit involvement and various other activities. Constantly striving to make the cities in which we work and live more viable, the Firm’s dedication to its communities is of paramount importance. Our attorneys give their time, passion, and resources to well over 200 nonprofit organizations, including the American Heart Association, Boys & Girls Clubs, Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, Alzheimer's Association, Human Rights Campaign, and Center for Families and Children. The Cleveland office works closely with the Cleveland Bar Association's "Our Commitment to Our Community Campaign," while the Cincinnati and Columbus offices of Ulmer & Berne are deeply involved with the Volunteer Lawyers Project and the Legal Aid Society. In addition, the Firm’s Chicago office works closely with the Jewish National Fund through fundraising and other collaborative efforts to help support the land and improve the lives of the people of Israel.

Sometimes an actual example is the best way to illustrate the importance we place on serving our communities. Click here to watch a heart-warming video clip featuring Jeffrey Geoppinger, an attorney in our Firm’s Cincinnati office, as he shares a personal, 35-year tradition of giving back to his community by delivering a Gingerbread House to the neonatal nurses at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center.
