Adrienne's practice is focused on employment law & litigating disputes that arise out of employment. She defends employers against claims brought by former employees. She also prosecutes claims on behalf of employers against employees, including claims breach of contract and breach of restrictive covenants (i.e., non-competition and non-solicitation provisions). She advises employers on compliance with workplace laws and regulations. She drafts employment policies designed to prevent workplace problems, educate employees and protect everyone's interests.
Adrienne has successfully defended employers against claims for discrimination, retaliation, wrongful discharge, breach of contract, tortious interference, defamation and violations of laws protecting whistleblowers. She frequently appears before federal and state courts, JAMS, AAA and private arbitration panels, and FINRA. On behalf of her clients, Adrienne has recently:
- Obtained dismissal of former employee's race discrimination claim after court granted motion for summary judgment filed on client's behalf. (Aug. 2011, U.S. Dist. Court, N.D. OH).
- Obtained dismissal of plaintiff's claims for age discrimination, wrongful discharge, breach of contract & fraud after court granted motion for summary judgment filed on client's behalf. (Aug. 2011, Cuy. Cty., OH Court of Common Pleas).
- After a FINRA arbitration hearing on the merits, successfully defeated former employee’s claims for wrongful discharge, tortious interference, defamation & declaratory judgment. Also, obtained monetary award & judgment in client’s favor on its breach of contract counterclaim against former employee. (July 2011, FINRA).
- In ERISA case, obtained judgment in favor of our client after motion for judgment on the administrative record was granted. (June 2011, U.S. District Court, N.D. OH).
