At a Glance
Risto practices in the areas of intellectual property and technology law. He counsels domestic and international companies regarding the creation, enforcement, and evaluation of intellectual property rights. Risto is experienced in all aspects of intellectual property law including client counseling; domestic and international patent and trademark prosecution; intellectual property litigation; and intellectual property licensing. Risto’s main focus is the preparation, prosecution, and evaluation of patents in the mechanical, electromechanical, polymer, and software arts. He has obtained patent protection directed to a variety of technologies including alternative energy, medical devices, computer software and hardware, automotive systems, optical sensors, radio frequency identification, and polymer compounds. Risto’s intellectual property litigation experience includes resolving disputes involving patents, trademarks, and trade secrets.
