Ulmer & Berne Expands Energy Practice
Ulmer & Berne LLP is pleased to announce that Brett C. Altier has joined the firm’s Real Estate Practice as an associate in the firm’s Cleveland office. Mr. Altier also will serve the firm’s energy industry clients, which include oil and gas, electric, chilled water, solar power, wind power and steam generation companies.
Previously, Mr. Altier was a petroleum landman for Turner Oil and Gas Properties, Inc., where his work involved examining courthouse records including titles, oil and gas leases, and assignments. His experience also includes preparing mineral ownership and due diligence reports, as well as abstracts for energy companies, and leasing mineral rights on behalf of energy companies.
Ulmer & Berne’s lawyers work with energy companies as well as land owners, developers, operators, investors, lenders and other parties with interests in situations involving the generation, distribution, exploration, investment or consumption of all types of energy-related resources and products.
Mr. Altier earned his J.D., magna cum laude, from Cleveland-Marshall College of Law, where he was managing editor of the Cleveland State Law Review. He also has a B.A. in economics from Denison University.
