CINCINNATI (March 20, 2008) — Ulmer & Berne LLP, which is celebrating its 100th Anniversary this year, announced the appointment of Stuart A. Schloss as Secretary of the Board of Trustees for Centerpoint Health.

Centerpoint Health is a comprehensive behavioral healthcare agency providing outpatient treatment, counseling, case management, support services and crisis and prevention services to residents of Hamilton County, Ohio.  Centerpoint Health is affiliated with Talbert House, a nonprofit social service agency.

As an attorney with Ulmer & Berne, Mr. Schloss has extensive experience with closely held businesses including the formation, operation and dissolution, with an emphasis in family succession planning. Domestic relations taxation matters form another aspect of his expertise. He has in-depth experience in estate planning and probate. Mr. Schloss’ practice in nonprofit corporations includes formation, tax-exempt status, operations and dissolution. In tax controversy, he handles audits, protests and appeals. He also practices in advertising, art and museum law.  He received his J.D. from the University of Michigan and his B.A. from the University of Colorado.
