Representative Experience
  • Represented large non-profit business in the state trial and appellate courts against claims of securities violations, joint and several liability, employer negligence, failure to supervise, breach of fiduciary duty, conversion, fraud, misrepresentation, and negligence.  Prevailed on summary judgment and in the appellate courts.
  • Represented corporations in consumer and securities claims that were pled as class actions in state and federal court.  The claims included fraud, misrepresentation, violations of the Ohio Consumer Sales and Practices Act, promissory estoppel, and negligence.  Prevailed in defeating class certification.  
  • Assisted in the representation of regional hospitals, physicians, nursing facilities, and physician groups in state and federal court against claims of medical negligence, agency liability, and employer liability.  Participated in all stages of litigation, from pre-suit discovery to mediation or trial and at the appellate court.  
  • Assisted in the representation of national manufacturers or product suppliers against claims for product liability, breach of warranty, and related negligence claims.  Prevailed on summary judgment and the appellate court.
  • Assisted in the representation of national underwriting firm or insurance companies in bad faith or related insurance claims.  Prevailed on summary judgment and at the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals.  
  • Represented criminal defendants in state and federal court.
