  • Experience in representing major fast food restaurants and fast food franchises in premises liability and food-related claims.
  • Has investigated various alleged unfair labor practices against unions and employers, including 8a3 discrimination, refusal to hire, and duty of fair representation cases; investigations included drafting initial charge, taking affidavits and making final investigative recommendations.
  • Experience in general litigation in state and federal courts including discovery, motion practice, trial preparation and litigation.
  • Experience representing employers before the Industrial Commission of Ohio, Bureau of Workers' Compensation and in common pleas court defending workers' compensation claims.
  • Drafted complaints and conducted mediation and pretrial litigation in cases where Regional Directors found merit to the unfair labor practice charge.
  • Drafted Decision and Direction of Elections and responses to appeals for Regional Director.
  • Counsels employers regarding employment discrimination claims.
  • Counsels landlords regarding fair housing discrimination claims.
  • Experience advising the Cleveland City Council on policy issues involving the Northeast Ohio Regional Sewer District, predatory lending, and the workforce on capital improvement projects.
