Chair of the Subrogation Group, Larry is an experienced trial lawyer who concentrates his practice in the areas of subrogation, fire litigation and business litigation. He has assisted numerous insurance companies in subrogation actions in state and federal courts to recover millions of dollars involving fire losses, defective products and machinery, negligence and carrier liability. Larry also has strong expertise in assisting insurance companies with site investigations to determine the origin and cause of losses. Practicing in state and federal courts, he has extensive experience in all aspects of business litigation, including contract, fraud, fiduciary duty, securities and RICO claims.

Representative Experience
  • Has assisted numerous insurance companies in recovering millions of dollars in subrogation actions in state and federal courts involving fire losses, defective products and machinery, breaches of warranty and contract, improper construction, fire suppression systems, negligence and carrier liability.
  • Extensive experience in assisting insurance companies with site investigations to determine the origin and cause of large fire and other losses, including the retention of experts and coordinating multi-party investigations.
  • Extensive experience in state and federal courts in all aspects of business litigation including breach of contract, unfair competition, trade secrets, fraud, tortious interference with business relationships, non-competition covenants, fiduciary duty issues, RICO claims, shareholder suits and general tort litigation.
  • Experience in class action lawsuits, including the defense of nationally known manufacturer of nutritional supplements in three purported class actions involving allegations of consumer fraud.
  • Completed 20 hours of tested training in basic fire investigation at the Institute for Fire Sciences, May 2005.
  • Attended the International Symposium on Fire Investigation in Cincinnati, Ohio, June 2006.
  • Frequent speaker on use of experts in litigation and loss site inspections and spoliation issues.
