Tim has defended asbestos- and dust-related personal injury claims for most of his career and currently coordinates defense of asbestos cases in several states. Tim is experienced in trying product liability cases involving serious personal injury or death resulting from failure of consumer products, engine failure, fuel tank failure, water craft design, asbestos exposure, ultra light aircraft design and industrial machine design.

Representative Experience
  • Has represented dozens of former manufacturers and suppliers of asbestos containing products for nearly 20 years. 
  • Has both supervised and actively participated in asbestos litigation in some of the country’s more troublesome jurisdictions including Madison County, Illinois and West Virginia.  His work in West Virginia began in 1994 and includes the mass trials held in Kanawha County and Monongalia County.
  • Has represented clients in all MDL 875 proceedings in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania since the docket’s inception in 1990.
  • Serves as national counsel, as well as national discovery and supervising counsel for a former asbestos product manufacturer.
  • Has advised clients concerning successor liability and indemnity issues.
  • Defended and prosecuted actions seeking reformation of terms of existing insurance policies.
  • Represents property owners in lead paint litigation as well as a former manufacturer of lead paint/pigment in a personal injury class action proceeding pending in Ohio.
  • Experienced in defending personal injury lawsuits involving environmental or occupational exposure to allegedly hazardous substances, including radiation, depleted uranium, formaldehyde and arsenic.
