  • Expertise in intellectual property (patents, trademarks, copyrights and licensing), information technology, regulatory and general corporate law.
  • Filed and prosecuted numerous patent, trademark and copyright applications.  Clients have ranged in size from individuals to Fortune 500 and Fortune 1000 corporations.
  • Participated in 40+ “due diligence” investigations for acquisitions, divestitures, mergers and other transactions ranging in size from $200,000 to $400 million.
  • Provided advice and drafting for successful responses to RFP’s (requests for proposals) from government agencies and other entities.
  • Drafted and negotiated hundreds of cost-effective agreements for clients ranging in size from individuals to Fortune 500 and Fortune 1000 corporations.  Topics have included confidentiality, distribution, escrow, joint development, licensing, manufacturing, purchase, sale and sales representation agreements. 
  • Prepared standardized questionnaires to streamline processing of large numbers of similar agreements at minimal cost.
  • Managed cross-licensing between a Fortune 1000 corporation and the world's largest diversified manufacturing, services and technology corporation for electromechanical devices controlling the world's first remote satellite on-board fluids monitoring system in diesel electric locomotives.
  • Handled licensing in of innovative electronic weapons technology.
  • Directed corporate strategy and managed a portfolio of 800+ worldwide trademark files.
  • Created and currently maintain a library of several dozen free 1-page overviews of intellectual property topics that serve to enhance communications with clients.  Topics include copyrights, customs, e-commerce, patents, trademarks and trade secrets.
  • Gained extensive “real world” experience during 30+ years of cost-effective cooperation with manufacturing, R&D, marketing and sales executives and staff in both union and non-union environments.  Examples include: management of a chemical production unit’s quality control staff as the youngest Senior Chemist in history at the world’s largest PVC manufacturing facility; service as a production foreman after college; and college summer work (four years) in both production and R&D.
