Ulmer & Berne opened its Chicago office in 2001 to further service its established base of regional and national clients, and be at the heart of economic activity emanating from the city, throughout the Midwest and beyond. Continuing its expansion into the Chicago market, the firm has significantly increased attorney headcount, substantially expanded its practice areas, and moved into a beautiful new 18,000-square-foot office space in Chicago’s Citigroup Center in April 2010.

The Chicago office currently represents a broad range of Ulmer & Berne’s clients, both locally and nationally, including major banks, broker-dealers, futures commission merchants, hedge funds, funds of funds, family offices, investment advisors, commodity pools, software companies, international agri-businesses and medical device manufacturers. The office’s practice areas include litigation, transactional, regulatory compliance, bankruptcy, white collar criminal defense, internal investigations and intellectual property.
